Per il terzo anno consecutivo su Nardò sventolano le 5 vele della Guida Blu di Legambiente e Touring Club! Queste le motivazioni che hanno portato Nardò al settimo posto nella prestigiosa graduatoria dei Comuni premiati con le 5 Vele: Nardò si è distinta per l'istituzione del Parco regionale di Porto Selvaggio e Palude del Capitano, uno dei gioielli naturalistici, paesaggistici ed archeologici del Salento, che rappresenta una delle più importanti opere di tutela e fruizione tra i parchi della provincia e dove il Centro visite diverrà un percorso multisensoriale, con la stanza vision, hearing, smell, touch and taste. The Handbook for summer 2009 indicates the town awarded the "Five Sails" and points to the 350 most beautiful beaches and coastal towns of more than 300 clean. DOC Tyrrhenian Sea, Sardinia and Tuscany regions are bluer. Isola del Giglio, Cinque Terre, Domus de Maria, Inch, Capalbio, Castiglione della Pescaia, Nardo, Baunei, Ostuni, Salina, Famous, San Vito lo Capo and Posada are the places on which to fly the sails 5. The Blue Guide is the result of the investigation work carried out by the Green Schooner Legambiente during his years at sea, but also the wealth of knowledge of the hundreds of local groups Legambiente. Evaluations are not just about quality of bathing water but take into account many other variables, starting with the quality of accommodation, the presence of a well-preserved historical center, to offer fine food and wine, the proximity to places of interest historic or artistic nature, and so on. Evaluations of Legambiente were finally integrated with the official data collected through la banca dati dei Comuni italiani (Ancitel), e sintetizzate in un giudizio espresso con le vele (da un massimo di 5 vele a un minimo di una vela).
